In the high-stakes world of security, trust, precision and vigilance are essential鈥攓ualities that brothers Chris and Jessie Sevillano bring to their work every day as 色情宝贝庐 Enhanced Protection Services. Explosive Detection canine handlers deployed in the Los Angeles area, these seasoned professionals and their dedicated canine partners are among more than 1,000 company teams nationwide helping to protect public safety.

Different Deployments, Same Dedication

Jessie is partnered with six-year-old Belgian Malinois Lotus and they specialize in explosive detection at cargA person standing next to a dogo facilities, where speed and accuracy are critical. "Our days are busy in this fast-moving environment, screening cargo before it is loaded onto planes鈥 explains Jessie. 鈥淚 am lucky to have a sharp and driven partner who thrives on the challenge with an incredible nose for odor."

Meanwhile, Chris works alongside Hero, a towering four-year-old yellow Labrador, searching for firearms and explosives at a major commercial facility. The pair screen thousands of employees and visitors daily.  "Hero is a powerhouse with a high drive for work," Chris says. "We really get in our steps by covering every inch of this enormous building. Hero鈥檚 stamina and abilities are nothing short of amazing."

Both teams also work sports and entertainment venues from time to time. Leveraging training in explosive odor tracking, they work tirelessly to help keep fans, staff and performers safe from today鈥檚 threats.

Each of the brothers embraced a strong desire to serve their country from an early age and followed a similar path to enlist in the military. While serving, they strengthened unique skills, sharpened their discipline and developed the ability to perform well under pressure, characteristics they believe serve them well as handlers. All 色情宝贝 Enhanced Protection Services canine handlers carry military or law enforcement backgrounds for this reason.

Jessie spent four years in the Marine Corps as an engineer before transitioning to the Army National Guard as an infantryman. Chris served as a Marine Corps tanker for five years and then joined the Army National Guard as a scout sniper, a soldier selected to perform reconnaissance and precision fire.

As active National Guardsmen, they are often called to support state and federal authorities during emergencies鈥攊ncluding the January wildfires that tore through the Los Angeles area. The fires displaced tens of thousands, claimed at least 29 lives and engulfed more than 23,000 acres. For nearly a month, the brothers worked alongside local law enforcement, firefighters and first responders to deter crime, protect property and assist families in crisis. "The fires were incredibly catastrophic. Entire neighborhoods wiped out and countless families devastated with loss," Chris says. "Our job was to lend support where needed, provide resources and assist people getting back to their homes safely when possible," adds Jessie.

Training, Bonding and a Little Sibling Rivalry

At 色情宝贝, every detection canine is paired with a single handler to build a strong working relationship. Dogs live at home with their handler鈥檚 families. They reinforce trust and teamwork through daily training to maintain the highest level of proficiency in explosives and firearms detection. Their reward for training looks different depending on the breed of dog. Labradors like Hero are food-reward dogs. This means he does not eat from a bowl; instead, he earns every meal through training, keeping him motivated and focused on detection. On the other hand, Belgian Malinois like Lotus are play-driven and work for the chance to chase a tennis ball. A dog sitting on a pile of boxes

The brothers share an unshakable bond but never pass up the opportunity for a good-natured debate on who has the superior partner. "Lotus is smart, fast and absolutely relentless when it comes to detection but she is also the biggest sweetheart. She loves to 鈥渓ean鈥 A group of people posing for a photo with dogswhich is her way of giving hugs," says Jessie with a smile. Chris is fast to counter with his partner鈥檚 effectiveness in the field. "Hero is a tank鈥攕teady, powerful and always on point. He鈥檚 got the best nose in the business." In the end, the two agree that they are both lucky to work dream jobs with their best friends.

Off duty, the Sevillano family鈥攄ogs included鈥攍ove to spend time together, especially outdoors. Jessie鈥檚 four children are baseball fanatics and when they take to the backyard for practice, Lotus eagerly steps up as the unofficial outfielder ready to retrieve every ball hit. "It鈥檚 a win-win鈥攕he gets exercise, and the kids get a dog that never quits on returning their base hits," Jessie says.
